Birded this morning with Paul Bithorn and JJ O´Malley (apologize if I got his name wrong) to 10.15 AM:
The female Mac Gillivray´s Warbler was spotted just north of the board walk (walk south on the tracks from the Nature center along the westernmost part of the park to get there - I got the wrong idea last week). It was calling repeatedly for a while, and then was quiet for some time, until it was rediscovered in the same area; obviously it stays in this area, most of the time in thickets just above the ground, and sometimes on the ground. Other birds:
Black-throated Green Warbler 1 male
Rose-breasted Grosbeak 1 female
Indigo Bunting 1 female
Spot-breasted Oriole 2 singing
And several Black-throated Blue and Cape May; some Blackpoll, Black-and-Whites et al. A few Gray catbirds and Cedars still around. Close views of Swallow-tailed Kites. Paul and JJ then headed to Matheson. /Henrik
