Hello!
The Dry Tortugas CBC was held on Wednesday, Dec. 17. We saw 41 species! Sonny Bass (Compiler), Larry Manfredi, Deb Hess, Michelle Davis, Rafael Galvez and I had a great time expecting the unexpected. I apologize for not having the list with me, but here are some highlights:
8 species of warblers - including Pine Warbler, Palm Warbler, Northern Parula, Orange-Crowned Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler
Eastern Phoebe
Piping Plover (1 - Loggerhead Key)
Magnificent Frigatebirds (over 100)
Dickscissel (1 - Loggerhead Key)
Masked Boobies - around 50
Northern Gannets
Brown Boobies
and... Cory's Shearwater! Gave our boat a great close-up fly-by.
