Yep! I believe you are supposed to say that you have a "First-of-the-Year" and a "Lifer". The picture supports your review. This also marks the first time that this species has been confirmed on the grounds at Hoechoka Hammock.
I heard the "whinny" of the screech owl at dusk last evening and it appears that at least one has taken up residence in the nesting box. Watch for them, also.
By the way, the gray head you mention is the result of the strong back light and the extreme enlargement of your picture. In better light you see a bit more blue tinge.
