This morning as we were leaving the house to head to work we had a small flock of Goldfinch fly overhead. Their calls alerted us to their presence, no Pine Siskin was heard. Wish we had our binocs in our hands, it all happened so fast that without binocs we were unable to scan the flock for Pine Siskin (darn).
We will check some local areas that have Australian Pines close to our house; hopefully some finches will be around. Toe had a small flock last week at Matheson but no Pine Siskin either. Get out and look, there has to be a Pine Siskin around Dade it seems to be a good year for them.
