Vince, many locations in the park have been added as birding hotspots and are easily available for everyone to use. I'm sure there are several ways to get to these hotspots, but here is what I often do.

1) Click to Submit a new Checklist
2) Choose the option to "Select an entire city, county, or state"
3) Type "Dade" for county, "FL" for state, and check "Show me Birding Hot Spots in the area"
4) Now you will see a "Birding Hot Spots" dropdown including more than a dozen locations in Everglades National Park. Nine Mile Pond doesn't seem to be in there yet. You can manually add it at these coordinates: 25.254,-80.798.

I didn't find anything too unusual in the park over the weekend. I was at Pa-hay-okee at dawn and was treated to a faint fogbow, snapping turtle, and a chorus of bird activity.

25 Yellow-rumped Warbler
4 Palm Warbler
2 Common Yellowthroat
2 White-eyed Vireo
12 Gray Catbird
4 Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
1 Great-crested Flycatcher
1 Eastern Phoebe

After sunset I once again found a couple Whip-poor-will sitting along the road...watch for the red eye shine!
