The usual birds this morning. The Tropical Kingbird is still at the Dump Marsh. Also saw my first resident Yellow Warbler near the Kingbird. On the wires a Loggerhead Shrike was eating a green frog it had hooked/lodged on the barbed wire. Fellow birder Chris told me of a huge flock in the area of Starlings and Brown-Headed Cowbirds that contained one full-color male Yellow-Headed Blackbird. Saw a flock of some 60 starlings and cowbirds but no Yellowhead. Also one dark Short-Tailed Hawk by the actual dump and a Wood Stork trying to swallow a huge fish it caught. Cutler had the usual ducks and the shorebirds (dowitcher, g. yellowlegs, least, avocet) but no gulls. Water levels are slightly higher.
