There were about 30 Royal Terns on Fort Lauderdale Beach, where I live. I took some photos and was suprised to see when I got home that several had bands. One of the banded birds appears to be a first year bird. This is based on behavior, ruffled feathers, and a less orange bill than others. I could not see any detail on the band. I hope this is of interest to someone,
