I always see some at the John U. Lloyd State Park, among the sandy sune areas adjacent to the beach there. This place is in Dania, off A1A, south of the Port Everglades inlet. Also a great hawk place in winter. The little ground doves burst up off the ground like quail, a reddish flash under their wings. Good luck!
