Snow Goose & Least Grebes at Yamato Scrub-Try Again

Apparently my post yesterday didn't show up,so will try again.
Had the pleasure of spending the morning with Carl Edwards at the Yamato Scrub where the Snow Goose was grazing in the south pond(right side of sidewalk). The photo ops were excellent despite the birds dirty face and feathers from the pond muck. Thursday, when we first saw the goose, it was pristine white. On the north pond, Mama Grebe was conducting flight school for the chicks. She was circling the pond in flight and did succeed in getting one baby to fly 15 feet or so. The other baby was more interested in feeding. It was amazing to watch.
