Today I went outside and saw about 5 immature Northern Mockingbirds and about two adult. They were all in the different locations on the ficus tree. In my natural pond (small) their were mockingbirds, starlings, grackles, and blue jays. Around the backyard close to the pond I saw a Brown Thrasher. I also saw a couple chimney swifts and a White Ibis in yard close by to my house. Also saw yellow-chevroned parakeets.
I found a feather of an Eastern screech owl in my backyard. It was easily identifies by its color and softness. I've found about 6 in about two years. About two weeks ago I found another feather close to a perch. I guess there around my backyard at night. I've tried calling them and looking for them but no luck. I'll try again today. Great birding!
