Usually the birders in this bird board are familiar with birds from other states (given that the majority seen here in Florida are seen in other states also). It is okay, on some occasions, to post about rare birds seen out of state. For instance, I know of many birders (including myself if I had the time) who would jump at the opportunity to chase a Yellow-billed Loon in Georgia, as was the case a few years back. Grover participates in the birdboard often by sharing local sightings and we don't want to give the wrong impression by sending him, or anyone else, to another website. There will always be someone local who will be able to help with a bird ID, at least from North America.
