The type specimen for Worthen's Sparrow was originally found (and shot) in the ABA area in New Mexico in the 1880's I believe, pretty far from its very restricted area in Old Mexico (Estados de Coahuila & Nuevo Leon). It has never been found in the ABA area since. When I used to live in Mexico, I saw it in Nuevo Leon.
