I don't know if this is of interest. Today there were about twenty Mitred Parakeets, including young ones, in a sea grape tree at the Lago Mar resort on Fort Lauderdale beach. They can deshell a sea grape and eat the core with just their beak. Also present were two Monk Parakeets (I haven't seen these in quite a while for some reason).
