Seen and heard this morning in the area of the wastewater facility on the south side of 248 St. across from Mt. Trashmore. It seems to prefer the fence along the dirt road leading to the wastewater facility. From 248 St. and 97 ave., take the dirt road towards Dump Marsh and look for the bird on the fence to the right. It was also seen on the wires on the north side of 248 and on the east side of the fence around the wastewater facility. There is a very raggity-looking Western Kingbird in the area and the Tropical calls when associating with the Western. Bill Boeringer came over right away and got some photos of the two birds side-by-side at eye level. Great way to compare the two. Larry showed up just before I left, and he will try to record the bird's call.

Other OK birds seen included a very cooperative Lincoln's Sparrow in the shrubby area to the right just before the gate, and a Marsh Wren at the NW corner of the pond behind the wastewater facility.
