Allrighty then, it is apparent that birds do indeed fly!
We were looking for the Swainsons this morning when Julie spotted a white breasted raptor type bird in the fields.It was chased off by a male Harrier before we could get a better look.
Fortunately , sharp eyed Carl refound it and we all got good looks in the scope. It flew around the whole periphery of the field after being spooked by some of the 30+ sandhill cranes before landing and being chased off by a belligerent blue jay.
