Deerfield Island is now only open on Saturdays and Sundays. It is a 58 acres island park with mangroves, scrub oaks, australian pines and newly planted slash pines. I was accompanied by Gloria Cashin and Arthur Sissman ( the one and only). there were few birds but two good migrant warblers: Magnolia(1) and Nashville (1) both adults. Also the dock had a hard working Solitary Sandpiper as a skipper assistant.
