I have been a purple martin fan for 3 yrs. now. I warn you becareful they are very addicting little birds. Once you read up on them and learn about their migriatory habits. You will love them. i don't know where you live, if you get a chance go over to Dadeland Mall around dusk on the side that faces Kendall Dr. and you will see hundreds of them racing in and roosting in the tress in the parking lot. Its amazing how many of them are there. Enjoy
