Great bird Rafael! It definitely has some Tricolored appearance to it, and that is the direction I'm leaning. However, I think it would be wise to consider a hybrid with Western Reef-Heron (Egretta gularis), due to the repeated occurrence of this taxon over the last decade or so in North America and the Caribbean. It would be best to rule it out just to be safe. I have no field experience with any reef-herons. Also, it should be kept in mind that hybrids do not necessarily need to be intermediate between the parent species; however, it certainly appears intermediate between Snowy and Tricolored. Nice find.
