OKALOOSA COUNTY
At the County Holding Ponds in Ft. Walton Beach a WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER was seen with three Semipalmated Sandpipers on Tuesday 3rd (A. Knothe).DeLorme p. 44; Pranty p. 52

LEON COUNTY
Two WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS were still present in small ponds 1-4 at the Springhill STP on Sunday 2nd. They were in a flock of 12+ peep with mostly Least Sandpipers. The plant is usually open on weekends. Push the button to the right of the entrance door and someone will buzz it open (J. Cavanagh). DeLorme p. 50; Pranty p.69

PINELLAS COUNTY
Two, possibly three MANGROVE CUCKOO were found at Weedon Island in St Pete, a little after sunup on Sunday 1st. Walk to the eastern-most loop trail, the Bay Boardwalk, where the first bird was calling just past the side trail that goes to the lagoon. As it flew towards the west, a second bird called from the east. Then a 3rd cuckoo was heard on the other loop, the Tower Boardwalk (R. Smart, B. & A. Hansen). DeLorme p. 90/91; Pranty p. 126

LEE COUNTY
10-15 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS were found at Little Estero Lagoon (behind the Holiday Inn at the south end of Ft Myers Beach/Estero Island) this Saturday 31st. They were mixed in with quite a few peeps that were mostly Semipalmated Sandpipers with a few Western Sandpipers mixed in for good measure. Some were basic plumaged, and will thus remain nameless. The WRSPs were split between the large mudflat behind the nesting terns and the inlet area along the outer beach (C. Ewell & A. Salcedo). At least 8 WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPERS were still present at Little Estero Lagoon, Ft Myers Beach Tuesday 3rd on the mudflat behind the first group of nesting Least Terns approaching from the north. DeLorme p. 110; Pranty p. 191
