For the last 3 or 4 winters, I have seen a pair of adult bald eagles roosting frequently on a particular melaleuca snag in Southwest Broward off of Pines Blvd near US 27, usually singly, but on occasion, together. I have also seen an immature bald eagle (no white on the head) roosting in that snag. I have not seen any of them yet this year - and that particular snag may have fallen, I've not really been able to spot it lately, though I haven't really stopped to make sure. I have also seen an eagle in flight over the area several times.
