In about two weeks I will be leading small groups of birders from "The Wildlife Society" annual conference on a birding tour. I plan to take them to Lucky Hammock. We only have a half day to bird but I was hoping that we would have a little extra time to find some South Florida specialty birds. Can anyone suggest a place or two we could briefly stop on our way back to downtown Miami where we could possibly find some interesting exotics, wading birds, or other birds we might not find at Lucky Hammock? I live in Palm Beach County so I'm not real familiar with the area. I appreciate any help that can be provided.
