Did anyone suggest to the county that spraying herbicides just now was not a good idea? Looks like the damage has already been done. Seems like these grebes would be a story that the local papers would like, similar to the Key West Loggerhead Kingbird. (After all, they are cute). Maybe that would afford them a modicum of protection.
