'Pink' Ibis at Leisure Lake Park

A pink-colored white ibis/scarlet ibis hybrid is at Leisure Lake Park this morning. The address of the park is 29305 Illinois Road in Leisure City (east of US1). Look for it feeding with white ibis in the lawn of the park next to the lake.

For those not in the know, scarlet ibis were introduced into Greynolds Park from the Caribbean in the 1960s. They eventually interbred with our native white ibis, creating pink hybrids.
