We birded Corkscrew from 7AM to 1PM and were quite successful. In addition to 16 species of warblers (a possible daily high for us), we got great looks at a black-billed cuckoo. There were a lot of birds there today. Lots of catbirds, blue-gray gnatcatchers, birds all through the trees.
Here are the highlights:
Blackburnian warbler
Bay-breasted warbler
Black-throated green warbler
Chestnut-sided warbler
Black and white warbler (most numerous warbler)
Yellow-throated warbler
Common yellowthroat
Northern waterthrush
Magnolia warbler
Yellow-rumped warbler
Orange-crowned warbler
Parula warbler
Pine warbler
Redstarts
Prairie warbler
Palm warbler
Black-billed cuckoo
Yellow-billed cuckoo
Scarlet tanagers (2)
Rose-breasted grosbeak
Ruby-throated hummingbirds
