I spent about an hour and a 1/2 at Lucky Hammock & the Annex this morning and was well-rewarded. Athe the Hammock I saw my FOS Painted Buntings, male & female as soon as I got out of the truck. On the other side of the road, I saw FOS 3-4 Indigo Buntings. I never saw so many Palm Warblers flying low over the fields. They're everywhere! Other birds at the hammock were:
Palm Warblers > 100
Common Yellowthroats > 50
Northern Harriers 5
Catbirds > 30
Redstarts 6
Yellow-throated Warblers 3
Kestrels 6
Black & White Warbler
Cardinals
Black Vultures
Turkey Vultures

At the Annex the quanity was lower, but the different species were greater, making it just as exciting.
Observed at the Annex, in addition to what was listed at the Hammock were:
Baltimore Oriole
Eastern Kingbirds 2
Ovenbird
Northern Parula
Prarie Warbler
Short-tailed Hawk
Red-shouldered Hawk
Osprey
Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
Mockingbirds
Brown Thrasher
Small Flycatcher

The FOS Scissor-tailed Flycatcher was located at the beginning of the Annex, just past the yellow gate, on the power lines going into the dirt driveway on your right - about 75' in. As the wind picked up, observation became difficult and I know I missed several other birds.
