Large and long kettles of vultures passing over Parkland Wednesday pre-sunset. All at varying heights. Some hawks mixed in at higher altitudes. They passed in parade for about 30 minutes fighting a strong easterly breeze. Quite a sight. Rising moon was impressive and through binoculars showed migrating small birds more so when it first rose then later at higher angle. Probably means the birds were low to avoid the high winds or settling in for the evening.
Redstarts, BG gnatcatchers, palm warblers very present now and painted buntings are regular at the feeders.
