Below are some links for anyone wanting to read further on American Flamingo (recently split from Old World Greater Flamingo) in Florida.

Rafael Galvez posted a fantastic, detailed account of his study of 10 American Flamingos in Florida Bay on 21 September 2007. A bonus is his collection of drawings.
