A MERLIN and PEREGRINE FALCON were observed on Sunday dive-bombing a pair of black vultures above the park. The peregrine dived past them at close range and swooped back up. The merlin came really close to them and then turned to harass them from behind.
Also, a pair of WESTERN KINGBIRDS were on the powerline just down the street (SW 162 Avenue) from the park. This morning there was one of them still there.
