Christine and I saw 8 White-rumped Sandpipers in the fields near Homestead Speedway today. There where also several Semi-palmated Sandpipers a few Mottled Ducks and one Stilt Sandpiper. Many nesting Black-necked Stilts were present as well. The time spent here was only about 10 minutes, with more searching with a scope there could be a few more species.

Directions: Exit Florida's Turnpike in Homestead, at s.w. 137 ave. go south on this to s.w. 328 st. turn left on s.w. 328 st. drive to the second grassy road and make a right turn here. Drive down this road and scan on both sides for birds. You will be looking at the northeast side of the race track.
