I visited Castellow Hammock again this afternoon and found a few more birds than yesterday afternoon. Most were seen right around the nature center; the hammock trail was relatively quiet.

Seen today:
White-winged Dove
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Eastern Wood-Pewee
White-eyed Vireo
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Gray Catbird
Nashville Warbler (seen along the north edge of the nature center grounds)
Northern Parula
Magnolia Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Black-throated Green Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Ovenbird
Waterthrush sp. (heard)
Common Yellowthroat
Painted Bunting (likely the same bird seen by Paul Marcellini)

I also had the pleasure of meeting Paul, a member of the Castellow park staff, as well as Henry Detwiler, a visiting birder (and birding guide) from Yuma, AZ.
