I've been fighting a cold and decided to sleep in this morning instead of birding as I had planned. The extra sleep helped, and a 1/2 dozen dougnuts was just the right thing to get me going. I birded Sadowski Park from about 11:00 to 12:15 and found not big numbers but excellent variety. Last nights storms, followed by today's storms, seemed to have dropped some decent warblers and frlends in our area. Later in the afternoon I checked out the Floway area and added a Waterthrush to the day's list. Another brief stop at Sadowski in the afternoonn didn't add anything new. Maybe I should have gotten up early today and gone birding. Below is the list:
N. Parula
Tennessee Warbler
Magnolia Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Black-throated Blue
Blackburnian Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Palm Warbler
Bay-breasted Warbler
Prothonotary Warbler
Black-and-white
American Redstart
Ovenbird
N. Waterthrush
Common Yellowthroat
Philadelphia Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
White-eyed Vireo
Eastern Wood-Pewee
Least Flycatcher
Eastern Kingbird
Great-crested Flycatcher
Scarlet Tanager
Summer Tanager
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Painted Bunting
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
