Hey,
I spent a non birding day at south beach yesterday but had my bins just incase of seabirds. I briefly spotted a shearwater type bird close in sitting on the water and it stayed just long enough for me to get views before flying off south. It was all black above which contrasted with bright white underneath. i did notice that the undertail coverts appeared completely white. i have no experience of either manx or audubon's shearwater and their occurences here! Books suggest that Manx is much rarer. Can audubon's have white undertail coverts? i took a very poor picture with a non-telephoto lens and will see if there is anything worth posting when I crop it.
Any comment or opinion would be much appreciated.
Peter
