This morning, I passed by Bill Sadowski Park to see if I could catch a glimpse of the Grey-cheeked Thrush and Rose-breasted Grosbeak Toe saw the day before. During the first run around the nature trail, I did not see either. I saw Trey Mitchell with his camera near the nature center, and he told me that he had seen the thrush so I gave it another go and sure enough, after looking through several Swainson's Thrushes for about 30 minutes, I finally spotted the Grey-cheeked Thrush. I followed him for about 15 minutes in the canopy, trying to see all the proper field marks to confirm my ID to make sure that's what I had. This is what I had by this time, migrant-wise:

Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Red-eyed Vireo
Gray Catbird
Swainson's Thrush
Grey-cheeked Thrush
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher
Black-throated Blue Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
American Redstart
Ovenbird
Common Yellowthroat

I dashed off to classes, did all of my usual activities, and when my last class rolled around someone had left a note on the board saying "Ms Komis is sick. Class cancelled." I decided to do, what else?, bird with the extra time and chose Kendall Indian Hammock since it is very close to where I live and I never bird there. I was pleasantly surprised and had a great time! Lots of very neat birds to be seen. I added the following migrant species to my day list:

Great Crested Flycatcher
Eastern Wood-pewee (2)
White-eyed Vireo
Tennessee Warbler (2)
Northern Parula
Chestnut-sided Warbler (2)
Magnolia Warbler (3)
Black-throated Green Warbler
Blackburnian Warbler
Palm Warbler
Worm-eating Warbler
Scarlet Tanager (2)

There were also Prairie Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Ovenbird, Swainson's Thrush, Black-and-white Warbler, Ruby-throated Hummingbird (3), Red-eyed Vireo, and American Redstart in Indian Hammock.
