Hi All,

After seeing the Least Grebes this morning at the Yamato Scrub Preserve in Palm Beach County, I made several stops at different parks before reaching Homestead where I'm currently spending the night. One of the places I checked out was Bill Baggs State Park on Key Biscayne for a few hours in the early afternoon. I easily counted upwards of over 60 Black-throated Blue Warblers throughout the park, the vast majority of which were all males. Other Warblers present but in much smaller numbers included: Tennessee, Northern Parula, Yellow, Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Palm, Prairie, Black & White, American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, Kentucky (only one), Northern Waterthrush, Ovenbird & Hooded Warblers. There were also a few Northern Catbirds & Swainson's Thrushes mixed it, plus many Red-eyed Vireos. Almost forgot! - I found one Black-whiskered Vireo there, but I'm unsure if this would be considered late or not for the area. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few sightings as I'm pretty tired from all the dirving!

In the late afternoon/early evening I did a quick check at both Bill Sadowski Park & Castellow Hammock finding many of the above listed species in smaller numbers, with nothing new to add except for a handful of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. Overall numbers of butterflies seem down for this time of year but I found 1 each of an Atala Hairstreak & Hammock Skipper at Bill Sadowski. Castellow Hammock produced a few Florida Whites and a brief glimpse of a Dingy Purplewing.

Tomorrow I plan to spend most of the day in Everglades National Park before I have to start heading back home on Friday afternoon.

Best,
