On Sunday I heard a Brown Thrasher singing in a tall Pine on 84st and 54ave. I also saw the mate and two baby chicks. Also saw 3 orange-winged parrots flying around. I've been seeing a pair of orange-winged parrots for about two weeks on an old palm tree. The pair where on top of the tree. The location is between 54ave and 53rd ct southwest. Their's alot of palm trees but their is that is old. ALso I saw a Hill Myna, but it had a different voice. It sounded like an immature. Had all its color except the orange thing on its cheek. I was wondering about something. Around Matheson Hammock their is a nature trail that I've gone before and it had many trees and I've seen parrots, kestrals, Great-horned Owls, eastern screech owl, etc. In the map section in the interent it says its called Matheson County map but I think their both different places. Their are two locations to get their, one is 52nd ave and 92nd st. Their is a pond and a lot of land with trees. Thinks their are Hill Myna nesting overthere. If anyone has any info about this place please reply. Thanks and offcourse Great Birding!
