This afternoon we made it out to see the Least Grebes. What an amazing pair of birds! We must have made it out at the perfect time, we enjoyed the company of Carl E, Andy B and David Simpson. We all got a chance to check out the pair take turns incubating the nest. After about an hour and a half of observing the Grebes, Andy Bankert setup his scope to further inspect the nest when he calls out there are 2 eggs! We waited a while for the next shift change and were lucky enough to also observe the eggs in the nest through his scope! Thanks Andy B. that was absolutely AMAZING! Awhile afterwards Anderson, Pranty and Judd P also made it out. The weather unfortunately had deteriorated by then, we really hope they got to see the eggs in the nest!

It is great that the Least Grebes are nesting and we hope that it is a successful one. We will upload some pictures and video we took today later. Thanks to Toe for alerting us yesterday afternoon! Good birding to all!

Nature is Awesome
