A group of 13 birders joined me this morning for the TAS walk at Kendall-Indian Hammocks Park in Miami. We tallied eight warbler species (Ovenbird, Northern Parula, Yellow-throated, Black-and-white, Prairie, Black-throated Blue, American Redstart, and a female Blackburnian). Also seen were Summer Tanager, an Epidonax flycatcher that split before we could ID it for sure (Least?), and a late Gray Kingbird. Rain dampened the group temporarily, but not our spirits.
Not too much else shaking, though we did see a nice Bark Anole (Anolis distichus) of the Floridanus subspecies, with its lemon yellow dewlap.
