There's one more recent report from FFN. 3 were seen at the Polk phosphate mines 15 Feb, 1998. I didn't find any ruling on this by the FOSRC, although it was supposedly submitted.

Of course, none of these seemed to be nesting, unlike the pair found by the Hasse's.

Of the other reports, one didn't mention eye color or bill shape (Lakeland, 1967) and another (St. Marks, Dec 1973) apparently didn't describe the bird well.

The 1970 Crandon report included photos. S&A list a bird from Miami in April 1992 which might be the same as your April 1982.
