I spent the morning out on Lake Okeechobee, out of Belle Glade Marina. We visited sites around Torry Island and Kreamer Island. The birding was unbelievable--in numbers. Hundreds of white ibis, egrets (sp), swallow (sp), plenty of osprey, grackles and shorebirds. I wasn't there to bird, so I couldn't stop to id anything. Anyone with a boat and spotting scope that can get out to Kreamer, I reccomend it. Plus a 10+ foot gator and, Lake Okeechobee gourds, wild hogs....lots of cool stuff to see.
