A friendly and timely group of birders waited for me to lead the group on an initially active morning of birding with a steady mix throughout thee morning. The highlights included dark & light phase short-tailed hawk,11 species of warblers including worm-eating & magnolia warbler, and many yellow-throated vireos.
Brian lead a small group east to look for the seaside sparrow reported yesterday. I took a cruise through Fairchild Tropical Garden where I found a number of the same warblers i.e., prarie, BTB, redstart, northern parula and yellow-troated vireo.
I look forward to hear what Brian found along the coastal edge of Matheson.
