Today I coverd Sadowski Park, the section of 72 Ave. closed to traffic outside of Deering Estate, and Cutler Wetlands/Flow-way with the help of Trey and Pete. Overall numbers were a bit low, especially compared with the little fallout from earlier in the week. Eighty-one species were tallied for the above locations with 1,431 individuals. While at Sadowski, I got to enjoy a spectacular migration event. I watched as a flock of Muscovy Ducks made the long, arduous journey from the north side of the canal to the south side of the canal. How do they ever do it? To think, they'll make the journey back next spring.
