Peter an exchange student at UM from the UK assisted me with the count. It was great to have someone with me to help and it helped keep thing interesting because he was able to pick up (17?) life birds today. Otherwise it would have been a fairly uneventful hot morning. We did see several FOS flycatchers at Dump Marsh on the way out to the main pond just past the fence in the depressed area that made my day.

We went to Deering Estate to look for the Yellow Breasted Chat that Toe saw this morning, with no luck. We were however able to add a Sharpy, Merlin and a Trails Flycatcher to Toes list.

After that we helped Toe with Cutler Wetland which was full of bird. Over all it was a great day and it was great to be out birding.
