I posted this to Floridabirds-L, but figured I'd post it here as well, for any lurking N Fla birders.
Cheers

if you get a chance, please check out my post on http://www.badbirdz2.wordpress.com, as the radar suggests a very large push of birds into the northern part of the state last night. Specifically, the Jacksonville, FL, Charleston, SC, and south Georgia radars all indicated some of the heaviest migration I've ever seen. It's not inconsistent with the large movements of birds which have been heading south along the Eastern Flyway over the last week, so I'm pretty confident that it's predominantly birds. Although migration was heavy, it was also widespread across the region due to lack of inclement weather to concentrate birds, so the best birding locations will be known fall migrant traps, favoring those slightly inland of the east coast, those along the Big Bend coast, and those along the Panhandle.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated- and you can do so in the comment section on today's post at http://www.Badbirdz2.wordpress.com.
Good Birding!
David
