I arrived around 5:00 pm and at first saw and heard nothing, nada, zippo. I was hoping to find the possible Rufous Hummer Trey saw on Saturday. While walking the nature trail, past the wooden bridge after the big tree with the benches underneath, I found a male Hooded Warbler. I pished and it came right up, and so did birds all over me. Best was a Blue-winged up in the oaks, along with Worm-eating, Black-and-white, Prairie, Redstart, Ovenbird, and Parula. Also seen were my FOTS Summer Tanager and Downy Woodpecker. I saw a hummer briefly that looked like a Rufous, but the look was not good enough to be sure. I suspect that these birds were dropping in while I was there. Tomorrow may be a good day to go warbling.
