In addition to 4 very loud Hill Mynas(which I was not surprised to see), Cardinals, Blue Jays,
Mockingbirds, Mourning Doves and Starlings, I was surprised to see a female Common Yellowthroat in the native plantings east of the Doc Thomas House. A late migrant? I have heard them singing in the lowland area of Fairchild Tropical Garden in May and have always suspected that they nest there. I am sure that they nest at Shark Valley. Has anyone heard them singing this spring in south Florida?
