Other good birds were seen from the beach at Lifeguard stand #10. More Sooty Terns (mostly singles) flew along the beach south-->north. A Pomarine Jaeger came in low off the water, flew over our heads and headed west, giving us crippling looks. A Brown Noddy came in from the west and stayed in front of us for a long time. Shorebirds were few but included Ruddy Turnstones, Sanderlings, Wilson's, Piping (~25), Semipalmated and Black-bellied Plovers. The most unusual shorebirds (for Crandon) were 2 juvenile Semipalmated Sandpipers. Gulls included Laughing, Great Black-backed (2, compared to 16 on Sunday), Lesser Black-backed (35) and 1 Herring.
