Gary and I went to the Annex this morning and were able to see Lark Sparrows and a female Orchard Oriole (both lifers for us!) Also seen in the annex were:
Great-crested Flycatchers
Northern Flicker
White-eyed Vireos
Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers
Eastern Kingbirds
Swallow-tailed Kites
Warblers: Prairie
Black & White
Worm-eating
Redstart
White-winged Dove
Tricolored Heron
Loggerhead Shrike
Mockingbirds
Cardinals
At Lucky Hammock a Yellow warbler was seen, plus more Great-crested Flycatchers and Redstarts. To celebrate our two life birds we hoisted two "Robert is Here" delicious fruit-filled milkshakes!!
We also had checked out the fields where the Horned Lark had been seen but it was a no show. This was around 11:30 am.
