Went to the "Lark Field" in Homestead with another birder in hopes of seeing the Horned Lark/Upland Sandpiper and especially the Buff-Breasted Sandpiper. The place was a desert. Maybe it was the time [noon]. Did seen plenty of Barn Swallows, some Killdeers and hundreds of Mourning and White-Winged Doves on an adjacent field. Decided to try Cutler Wetlands next since I am in a shorebird mood. Another birder was also there and he joined us. Saw Stilts, both yellowlegs, sb dowitchers, solitary sandpipers, killdeers and ruddy turnstones (in mixed flocks with the dowitchers), little blue herons (adult with a white immature).
