Peter Morris and I went to Tigertail Beach to see how the shorebird migration is shaping up along this coastal hotspot. We came up with 15 shorebirds in just under an hour of birding, plus several other good sightings:

Roseate Spoonbill (22 feeding on the mudflats)
Reddish Egret (1)
Osprey (2)
Black-bellied Plover
Piping Plover (~22)
Semipalmated Plover (~23)
Wilson's Plover (~5)
Short-billed Dowitcher (~50)
Ruddy Turnstone
Marbled Godwit (2)
Whimbrel (1)
Willet (~25)
Lesser Yellowlegs (2 -- what were they doing here?)
Sanderling
Least Sandpiper (few)
Semipalmated Sandpiper
Western Sandpiper
Red Knot (~5)
Sandwich Tern
Royal Tern
Black Skimmer
Common Ground-dove
