A black crowned night-heron was heard calling from my yard last night, and was apparently helping itself to a few African cichlids from my natural swimming pool, which is filled with fish. I've also had green herons, great egrets, a great blue heron, and belted kingfishers visiting too, which proves that it doesn't take a lot of water to attract some really cool wetland birds to one's yard.
